A LOOK FORWARD

Tuesday, February 14: Vestry meeting in the board room.

Sunday, February 19: St. Matthew’s Annual Meeting. Reports are due into Brenda February 7th.

Wednesday, February 29: will be our next Bible study.

In Cathy’s absence Reverend Fletcher Stewart is taking pastoral emergency calls at 788-0240.

WestEnd Commons News – construction and fund raising continues. The work in the basement will be slower than planned – getting all the service infrastructure right for the upper floors is taking time. Check out the project website that Dexter and Gail have created: thewestendcommons.ca It’s got lots of good information.

  • In the Anglican Church of Canada we pray for: our Primate, Fred Hiltz; our National Indigenous Bishop, Mark MacDonald; our General Secretary and Synod Staff; our metropolitan: David Ashdown; St. James and St. John Anglican Churches in Grand Rapids and their priest Steve Martin; Indigenous peoples of the Anglican Parishes of the Central Interior, BC.
  • In Our Diocese of Rupert’s Land we pray for: our Bishop, Donald Phillips; West Indian Canadian Anglican Fellowship; the Diocesan Anglican Fellowship of Prayer – The Reverend Diane Guilford, Diocesan Coordinator.

  • For St. Matthew’s: We pray for our parish, St Matthew’s here in the heart of the city in heart of God. Strengthen our church to be like a great tree giving shade and shelter to all who come. Under its branches let the people rest in your grace and be re-rooted in your kingdom’s work. May the streets of our community be holy ground beneath our feet.
